My wife and I got involved in the sport of team penning in 1993, soon after the birth of our only child. We got involved because we wanted to have something that our entire family could do together. This was the start of many good things for our family. We have met so many people from all walks of life, even some that we now call our best friends.

After competing at a grassroots level for about 9 years, I soon realized that competing on a national level was not for me, Green Country Team penning in northeast Oklahoma needed some help getting their association to the next level. They wanted me to run the computer in the office. This is when I met a very good friend of mine, Rowdy Fewel the professional announcer. Since that time, we have traveled many miles covering shows from coast to coast. Together, we have made the best duo in the penning industry.
